60 Day Chosen Review

It's been 35 days since I my tax were accepted. I called IRS today and they said that we were randomly picked for a 60 day review. Has anyone ever experienced this? And does it usually take the full 60 days?

Ugh same thing with me! I just got off the phone with the irs and they told me the same thing and that I should be receiving a letter from them next week! I had the same issue last year, last year I ended up getting my refund mid-March. I had filed 1-29-19, they said it’s 60days from when they issue the letter. But hopefully like last year it doesn’t take the 60 days.

I'm hoping that mid-march is when I get it. This whole thing has really strapped me. I have used TT for 7 years and have never had any issue before this year.

Have you checked your transcripts? On mine I have code 570 and the date 3/2/20 which the representative at the irs told me that is when they will review my information again. 😒

Yes, I printed my transcripts this morning. My 570 code is also showing 3-2-2020. I don't understand!

@Ladymendez  Code 570 means that there is  Additional Liability Pending/or Credit Hold.  The IRS is in the process of matching forms they received for you and the ones you reported. The IRS should send you a letter if they find something they need more information about.
