5 day early refund fee

O filed my taxes and the were received and approved on January17th for federal and January 21sr for state. I have received my state but ai HAVE NOT received my federal and don’t want to pay $25 for an early refund when I am not getting it any earlier, in fact my status hasn’t changed on the irs2go took either giving me a date although I’ve received state taxes it doesn’t even show that. I paid for the deluxe edition of turbo tax and would expect to be told about this stuff and not sold or upside on my tax return when it isn’t coming early that is false advertising and I want my money back!

If you don't receive your Federal Refund up to 5 days early you will not pay the fee.  When your refund is on the way, you should get an email from TurboTax. Some didn't get an email until late in the day, but still got their deposit.

5 Days Early Option

 

If you don't get your deposit, there is a few reasons why that might happen.

 

  • Your refund was offset or differed from their estimated refund amount, bringing the refund amount below the minimum threshold or above the maximum. What is a refund offset?
  • Your bank wouldn't accept RTP (Real Time Payments) or Same Day ACH deposits, preventing Intuit from depositing your refund 5 days ahead of when the IRS would have deposited your refund.
  • The IRS didn't give Intuit up to 5 or more days of notice in advance. This stopped Intuit from meeting the up to 5 days early expectations.

If TurboTax is unable to deliver the refund up to 5 days early, your order will be canceled and you won't be charged the up to 5-Day Early fee. You will receive a follow-up email with a refund and timing update, and if any cancellation is applicable.
