The PATH message is for those that claimed Earned Income and Additional Child Tax credits on their returns. There will be no change to that until around the 17th of this month. Details are below on that. And Tax Topic 152 is just a generic message that the IRS provides when they are still in processing stage. It will show approved once they finish processing your refund.
Per the IRS : "By law, the IRS cannot release refunds containing the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit before mid-February. “Where’s My Refund?” will be updated February 17 for most early filers who claimed the EITC or ACTC. These taxpayers will not see a refund date on “Where's My Refund?” or through their software packages until then. I've been experiencing the same issue, and it's caused me to have serious financial hardships from it, I can't get my tax advocate to call me, I've been trying since Feb. 27, and I just got off the phone with the IRS again, and they've pushed the date back AGAIN, this time to 3/13 for when I should hear something. It's been over a month since I filed, I've had 6 different dates on when processing should be completed. I just want this nightmare to be over.
