1099-R Same withholding amounts with Federal and State on taxes, will not allow me to E-File my State Return which is Indiana in 2022

My 1099-R has the same amounts listed on the taxes withheld for both state and federal, why is this an error for E-filing my State Return in Indiana 2022? I seen from other post that this was an issue for 2021, why has this issue not been fixed. Considering that everything needs to be E-Filed! Mailing in tax returns is a waste of my money and time when purchasing this product? Why do I need to reach out to Indiana DOR when this was reported last year? Why hasn't anyone in a years time corrected this issue?

I believe the program is trying to prevent you from making a data entry error by incorrectly entering the federal withholding amount for the state withholding.  Try entering $1 less than what is reported on the Form 1099-R for your state withholding and see if it will let you e-file.

May I ask why you have the same withholding amount for federal and state?  That seems odd.  For the future have them take out different amounts so it doesn't happen again.

Thats what someone from IN DOR suggested. Thank you.

Because that is what was taken out for both Federal and State on our IRA withdrawal.

Can you clarify...  boxes 4 and 14 on your 1099-R form are the exact same amount??  Or which boxes have the same amount?   And have you verified with the issuer that the amounts are correct?   It isn't normal for your state withholding to be as much as your federal withholding.
