1040 line 32 IRA deduction and 8606 Line 1 formula

Hi, I am trying to prepare 1040x because I made a mistake in traditional IRA contribution amount of my husband in the past and the ira basis was not included when he converted his traditional IRA to roth.

We file jointly and only he had the employer's 401k.

I am going over the past trubotax returns and I understand the IRA basis is calculated by adding up the amounts reported in 8606.

Turbotax calculated the nondeductible amount automatically for 8606 and 1040 line 32.

I'm trying to figure out how 8606 line 1 was calculated referring to Pub 590-a of the year.

But the number does not match.

Is there anyway I can get the formula used by turbotax for 8606 line 1 calculation?
