How do I delete my 2022 1099-NEC?

If you worked as an independent contractor for Uber in 2022 and imported your 1099-NEC for that tax year, you’ll likely have to import your 1099-NEC for 2024 as well.

When reviewing your 2024 return, you may experience an error which states that your 2022 1099-NEC needs review. The error looks like this:

There's no need to review your prior year 1099-NEC. To fix this issue, you’ll need to delete the 2022 entry using the trash icon.

Here's how to delete your 2022 1099-NEC:

1. Open or continue your return.
2. Go to the Wages & Income section.
3. If you’ve already imported your 1099-NEC forms, you'll see a Review button next to your 2022 1099-NEC.
4. Select the trash icon to remove the line item for 2022.
5. Continue filing your return.
