Where do I enter Form RRB-1099-R (the green copy)?

Form RRB-1099-R, reports Annuities or Pensions benefits. Copy C of your RRB-1099-R should be green. (If it’s blue, you have a Form RRB-1099 and it's entered in a different place).

To enter your RRB-1099-R:

  1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
  2. Navigate to the RRB-1099-R section:
    • TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to RRB-1099-R.
    • TurboTax Desktop: Search for rrb-1099-r (lowercase, with the dashes) and select the Jump to link.
  3. On the Did you get a 1099-R in 2024? screen, select Yes.
    • If you land on the Review your 1099-R info screen instead, click Add Another 1099-R and Continue.
  4. Continue through the screens and choose how you'd like to import your info.
  5. If you choose Type it in myself, select U.S. Railroad Retirement Board (RBR 1099-R) on the Who gave you a 1099-R? screen.
  6. Select Continue and follow the instructions to enter your RRB-1099-R info.
