Can I file a prior-year return using TurboTax Full Service?

No, you can't use Full Service to file taxes for a prior tax year. Full service experts can only file your taxes for the current tax year, which is 2024.

It doesn't support the following:

• Returns for prior tax years
• Returns for the current year, if your didn't file a return for the previous year
• Amended returns for the previous tax year
• Any amended return, where the original return was not prepared with a TurboTax expert

To file a 2023, 2022, or 2021 return, you'll need to purchase and download that year's TurboTax Desktop software for PC or Mac.

Tax years 2020 and earlier can no longer be filed through TurboTax.
