Why do I need to add an email address to my Intuit Account?

If you created your Intuit Account using your phone number, we’ll ask you for more info about yourself and add it to your account as you continue using our offering. This helps us get the info we need to keep you and your account safe.
Once you add your email to your account, you’ll be able to use your account to access any Intuit offering (like TurboTax, QuickBooks, or professional tax products) on any device. We may also use this email to communicate with you about your account or the offerings you use with it. You can always update your communications preferences in your Intuit Account.
