Can I file a prior-year return using TurboTax Full Service?

No, you cannot use Full Service to file taxes for a prior tax year. Full service experts can only file your taxes for the current tax year, which is 2023.

It does not support the following:

• Returns for prior tax years
• Returns for the current year, if your didn't file a return for the previous year
• Amended returns for the previous tax year
• Any amended return, where the original return was not prepared with a TurboTax expert

To file a 2022, 2021, or 2020 return, you'll need to purchase and download that year's TurboTax Desktop software for PC or Mac.

Also, tax years 2019 and earlier, however, can no longer be filed through TurboTax.
