How do I enter my expenses from my Uber Tax Summary into the TurboTax mobile app?
You can enter the expenses from your Uber Tax Summary into the TurboTax mobile app. Here’s how:
1. Review the expenses in your Uber Tax Summary
Certain Uber expenses need to be combined and entered as a single amount in TurboTax.
To review your Uber expenses:
Sign in to Uber.com.
Select the Tax Information tab at the top.
Go to the Tax Documents section and Download your Yearly Summary for 2025.
Your Yearly Summary will have several expense categories (like Tolls, Black Car Fund, Safe Rides Fee). Each category will have an amount shown for the year.
2. Enter your Uber Expenses in TurboTax
Online/MobileOpen the app and sign in to TurboTax.
Go to the Your 2025 self-employed work summary screen under Wages & Income:
If you haven't already set up your ridesharing work in TurboTax, you might need to select Add another line of work to get started.
If you have set up your work, select Review/Edit next to your ridesharing work.
On the Your [rideshare driving] info screen, select Looks good to proceed to the expenses section.
You can import your Square transactions on the next screen, but if this doesn't apply to you, select Skip this.
On the Here's your [rideshare driving] income we have so far screen, select No and Continue.
Select Type in my expenses on the next screen (unless you'd like to connect your financial accounts, then select Connect my accounts.)
On the Let's gather all the expenses for your [rideshare driving] work screen, select Get started.
On the Select the expense categories you have screen, make your selections, then select Continue.
