How do I fix my Louisiana 1099-R without a number on line 16 and still get my exemption?

Some retired Louisiana TurboTax Online customers may experience an issue with receiving a Form 1099-R that should be exempt and has an empty box in line 16, causing the form to not be recognized as exempt.

Follow these steps to resolve this issue:

1. Enter the 1099-R as received into the product.
2. When you get to line 16, don't leave it blank. Enter the amount received in line 1.
3. Continue and choose what best describes your 1099-R.
