How do I amend my 2025 tax return to correct the Oklahoma Itemized Deductions?
Due to a TurboTax error, some Oklahoma customers who had more than $10,000 in state and local taxes (SALT) overstated their Oklahoma itemized deductions. As a result, affected taxpayers underpaid their Oklahoma state taxes.
If we notified you, we recommend you amend your return as soon as possible.
To amend your return, follow the steps below:
Sign in to TurboTax or open TurboTax on your computer before following the instructions to amend your Oklahoma state tax return
Enter "TO CORRECT ITEMIZED DEDUCTIONS" as the reason for amending
Follow the on-screen prompts provided by TurboTax to e-file your amended state tax return and pay the amount due
Save a copy of your amended state return for your records
Note: If you are a nonresident or part-year resident of Oklahoma and claimed a tax credit on your resident state tax return for taxes paid to Oklahoma, you might also need to amend your resident state return.
