by TurboTax•2259• Updated 1 month ago
No, you don't need to enter Form 5498-SA into TurboTax.
The 5498-SA reports contributions to:
- Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
- Archer Medical Savings Accounts (MSA)
- Medicare Advantage Medical Savings Accounts
If you contributed to one of these accounts separate from company contributions, follow these steps:
Note: If your TurboTax looks different from what’s described here, learn more.
- Go to Deductions & Credits.
- Under Medical, select Start next to HSA, MSA Contributions.
- Select your type of account on the next screen, then select Continue.
- Answer Yes or No to Did you use your Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for anything in 2023?
- Enter the information from your 1099-SA, then select Continue.
- Go through the rest of the screens until you have finished all your information.
