Will Turbotax work with Linux Mint using Wine software to run Windows software?

turbotax should run on linux mint 18.3 computers with Wine but it keeps saying the .net framework will not work with it.

It's not a supported installation method.  You might check with the vendor or user community for Wine to find out if the .net framework can be made to work.  Turbotax for Mac definitely uses the .net framework for something, and should try to install it if it is not already present.

Mac OS is basically Unix; is there a Mac emulator for Unix?

I have attempted to install Turbotax 2020 under Linux Mint utilizing Wine and definitely had issues with getting the .net working properly for Turbotax! I do recommend attempting this installation especially for the Turbotax 2020 version. My guess, future versions will not work either under Linux/Wine either!

It appears that the web version is the only option here or possibly windows running under a Virtualbox!
