To clarify, what TurboTax product are you working in, and what are you depreciating?

I keep getting this message Depreciation and Amortization will be ready by February, but likely sooner when trying to enter assets in my Self-employment income and expenses I just wanted to know when will it be available

I am having the same issue. Is there an ETA when it will be available.  February is very Vague.

The exact date when a form or section will be updated is not available. Be reassured that TurboTax is updated with new releases every night. Your best option is to move on to other topics or give TurboTax a few days to update the schedule you're waiting for. Here's the link to sign up to be notified by email when the update is released.

but dang.....this is the only thing left for me to wrap up my taxes and I so looked forward to logging in on 2/1 to complete my taxes.....but alas....the note "Depreciation and Amortization will be ready by February, but likely sooner" was inaccurate. 😥

Form 4562 is only ready for Schedule C and F. The Schedule E area is currently being updated.

The software should be updated after 02/11/26, but our tech team is working hard to have those updates before that date.

It says "Depreciation and Amortization will be ready by February."  Hopefully turbo tax is better with numbers than it is with  English.

Dissappointed in Inuit. They should have a team of people getting this update out quicker! We're all just sitting around waiting for them to push this update out.

Sorry but this a dumb and disrespecfull way to answer a specific question. If you don't know, go ask the answer. But give a vague patronizing comment is not helping.

This is very desapointing! I have a personal deadlines to respect, and every year i bump into difficulty like this one. TurboTax always have a not working parts and a very poor support.
I am desapointed every year and yet, the year after I forget and buy again the poor product.

Cash App is free and equivalent, other competitor are way cheaper,

the support is terrible: agent wasting time posting vague comment like we are stupid...

I need to REMERBER NEXT YEAR to stop purchasing tha expensive poor value product!!!!!!!

You say depreciation and amortization should be available "after 2/11/2026" ... that's not very helpful.  "After 2/11/2026" could be ... April???

Can we get a more specific update in order to set and manage expectations?  The fact that it itsn't available now is unaccetptable.

I totally agree that the date after 2/11/2026 is vague and unacceptable.

I've been using turbotax for over 10 years. This missing update is the worst failure yet. Might be time to try another program.

I’m sure I’m not the only one, but you’ve lost a customer with this issue

I saw February 13 as the latest ETA.

curious if any other tax prep softwares are having the same issue with depreciation? has anyone checked? to Intuit, how do you plan on accomodating your customers for their inconvenience? will you offer a discount?

I also like to get my taxes done early, and I eagerly await that module. But I don't think mid-February is unreasonable. Many investment companies and banks don't have their 1099s available for import until sometime in February.

This isn't about being reasonable. It's about communicating expectations. Their platform mentions that Depreciation will be available BY February, if not sooner. So asking why it's not available (it is February), is not unreasonable. In fact, I'm just asking for clarification of what THEY communicated.

Understood. I am just communicating that I am not that surprised, and I am not going to be concerned yet.

I am having the same issue as all the other commenters here and am experiencing frustration.

This is not the most useful of responses.

In my case, a property was sold and I am unable to report the sale as I know is required by the IRS. It is the only thing holding up my return.

I am quite sure we all understand that these things happen, but the main issue here is the clash between what was promised (February or sooner) and reality.

Please provide a firm date for updating this section of Turbotax so that we know when to log back on and finish our returns. Of course, if it happens sooner than this firm date, everyone will be thrilled. The problem is when we're told a date and it doesn't come to fruition in reality at said date.

Thank you.

You lost a customer. Tired of this kind of BS from TurboTax. The only reason I stuck with you guys it's because it's easier to import an older return than starting from scratch but this has finally pushed me over the bar of preferring to start anew.

1099s (most types, including 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-B, 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC) are legally required to be sent (i.e. placed in the mail or made available electronically) by January 31st.  That's why a lot of people do their taxes the first week of February.

How is this related, please?
