Why my payment declined

I filled it out everything on the last page confirm payment I put my bank account number everything but it didn’t go through. I don’t know why.

When did you file?  I would give it some more time.  Or do you know for sure the bank declined it?   Double check the routing number and account number with the bank.  Some banks use different routing numbers for deposits and payments.  Then pay the IRS directly at

If your return was rejected from electronic filing since you said it didn't go through, you can also refer to this link with information on how to fix a rejected return.

 

You do have 5 days to refile your return so I recommend trying again.  

What if I e-filed on time but my return got rejected after the filing deadline?
