why is everything so buggy in 2024 deluxe

everything I do this year is a nightmare! I go between screens and it locks up, or I can’t get out of that screen when I navigate to it. One minute ago, I went to top right and clicked on “forms” . I got to forms, then I couldn’t out of it. On,y way to get out of all these glitches is go to top right, click on “x”. I update every time I get on. Btw

Can you please clarify which section you are having issues with, or is it general? Also, are you working on TurboTax Online or TurboTax Desktop?

If you are using TurboTax Online try these options

  • Check ‌your browser's settings. (Clear your Cache and Cookies)
  • Check on your internet connection
  • Try using a different web browser

If you are using TurboTax Desktop

  • Make sure the software is updated. 
  • If you haven't rebooted your computer, please do
  • check your firewall and antivirus settings. Make sure they aren't blocking any feature of the software.

A reboot of your system is a great idea...waiting OS updates are known to cause issues.  IF on Windows, a Windows OS update was issued this last week, and that could be the issue if not yet fully installed.

 

Normally, TTX issues their software updates on Wed and/or Thursday  overnights...rarely the rest of the week.  So, a Friday update for TTX is usually all that is required (Last week they did appear to issue one both on Wed and another on Thursday overnight).
