Why do I have two different return numbers?

My 2024 tax returns show different numbers? In the first overview it says $261 with my federal being -$43 and my state being $304. I already paid the $43 that I owe (even though I marked it to be paid on 04/03/2025, they took the money immediately). Below under ‘my tax returns and documents’ for 2024 it shows that my returns should be $304. I’m confused because $261 would be correct if they deducted the $43 I owe straight from my returns but I paid the $43 directly immediately when I submitted my forms. So my questions are…

A) Why was the $43 taken immediately and not on the day I requested (04/03/2025)? Will I be billed again in April?

B) Which return will I see? $261 or $304?

At the  end Turbo Tax shows you the net combined of Federal and state.   But that is only for your own info.  You will still get the full refund and need to pay the tax due separately.  So you will get the full $304 from state.

About my other question, I paid the $43 I owe already but scheduled it for April 3rd when filling out my forms. Will it charge me again on the 3rd?

I don't know why they charged you right away.  They should not charge you again.
