why aren’t my forms ready?

it’s tax day and when I try to sign and file my tax return, I get your returns

The IRS hasn't finalized one or more of your forms. Once forms are finalized, you will be able to access this section. Why isn’t it ready? TurboTax knew this day was coming? they should’ve been ready in advance

You may not be aware, but some forms have not been finalized by the IRS or the states.

Maybe you are waiting for some forms.  Click Review to see if you are missing some forms needed in order to e-file.

Many federal and state forms are not yet available.  Check here for form availability. The dates are subject to change.

I went through my forms and it doesn’t apply to any of my forms. This is a TurboTax error

Click on Review on the left side of the online program screen.  Are any forms listed as not being available for filing?

my form still are not available. I will not be using TurboTax again and I’ve already paid. It’s not about my state being ready. I don’t file state taxes. It’s not about my forms. I went through my tax return and none of my forms is on their list has not being available. This is a TurboTax problem. They knew that we were filing taxes on the 27th as per the Irs filing date and they aren’t ready for some reason, they are not allowing people to submit their tax returns and it has nothing to do with people being from a certain state because I said before I don’t file state taxes I only filed federal because I live in Texas this is absolutely unacceptable and they are trying to blame the IRS when the IRS is accepting and allowing you to submit your taxes, and so our other platforms like H&R Block and some similar platforms to TurboTax are allowing you to submit your taxes if they weren’t gonna allow people to submit their taxes, they shouldn’t have accepted payment. I will be filing X elsewhere next year.

Why is the date continually being pushed back?  First it was saying it would be available 1/30, then 2/6, now it says 2/13!  How many time is this going to be pushed back?  This is unreal.

I am dealing with the same problem right now. Form 8283 not being ready, and now the available date is pushed to February 13.

I don’t get it

Same thing for me and I already paid them so I'm stuck waiting!

Form 8283 is scheduled to be released and available tomorrow, February 5th.

It's February 6th.  Was this a deliberate attempt to mislead, or are you actively encouraging customers to use another platform where the form is currently in use, especially since the IRS updated the form in December?

I'm dealing with this issue as well. Do we have an updated timeframe on when this will be resolved?

Use this link to reference when your tax forms will be available. You can search by TurboTax Product and for IRS and State-Specific Forms.

Not helpful -- according to that link, my form should already be available, however it isn't. I just logged back in and the same message still displays:

It looks like your returns aren't available to print or download yet
This is because the IRS hasn't finalized some of the forms for your federal return, and New Jersey hasn't finalized some of the forms for your state return.

Turbotax needs to fix this right away -- if the form is available but the software won't generate it, then the issue is entirely on their end. We need an update as soon as this matter is resolved.

Can you tell us more information? Is this for Federal or State and what forms do you have in your return?

State, New Jersey specifically. 1040NR -- listed as available to print or e-file on the link you provided, but TurboTax is letting me do neither and insisting the form must be mailed. Right now TurboTax will only let me preview the form, not generate or print it. You can understand my frustration, given the situation?

To clarify, are you using Turbo Tax Online and did you pay for the product, including the state?

Yes, I'm using it online and paid with my Federal refund for NJ, VA, and Federal returns.

If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, clear your  Cache and Cookies and return to the FILE section.  If you can View your returns, you can save it as a PDF file on your computer and print from that file.

Here's more info on How to Preview My Return Before Filing.

I'm experiencing this exact same issue. Said my small business form would be ready "2/13", now it just says "Ready Soon".

I'm using the iPhone app, as well as the iPad app, as well as the website; the issue persists. I paid for this year's TurboTax weeks ago.

Can you clarify which form you are waiting on (Federal or State)?  Also, have you cleared Cache and Cookies as instructed by MarilynG3?
