Why am I charged an extra $40?

I have purchased the Turbo tax from Costco and its still asking me to pay $40 extra for the refund.

 

What is this and why do I have to pay that.

 

In the past , Turbo tax never asked me to pay that amount.

Are you efiling a state return?  It is $25 to efile state.  Then if you want the fee deducted from your federal refund there is an Extra $40 Refund Processing Service charge.  You can avoid it by paying with a credit card or you can print and mail state for free.

 

Go back through the File tab to review or change your choices. Go slow and pay attention to what you click on to continue.  There is one screen that can trip you up.
