Which desktop version to use

I filed my 2020 taxes online and now I need to amend them and take a special credit. What desktop version can I use to do it?

Any of the 2020 desktop editions can be used to amend a tax return originally completed and filed using the 2020 online editions.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a 2020 tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-2020-return/L3XdA1Pw8_US_en_US?uid=l95tpf53

Thank you. And if I need to amend 2019 and 2021 as well, do I need to buy three different desktop versions of Turbotax or buying 2021 desktop version is sufficient to amend tax returns for three years?

Each tax year is a separate TurboTax program so if you need to amend a 2019 return you would need the 2019 desktop edition to amend.  The 2021 desktop edition can Only amend a filed 2021 tax return.

You don't have to pay for any of the amendment programs if you filed online to start with unless you need to upgrade the program because the one you used was not good enough for what you're now entering. Follow the instructions in the link in the prior answer for all the information you need to amend all the tax years. Currently the 2021 online amendment program is still online.

I filed my taxes online but I need a desktop version to amend. You are saying I don't need to pay to get the desktop version if I used online version to file?
