Form 1040 is the standard federal income tax form used to report an individual’s gross income (e.g., money, goods, property, and services). It is also known as “the long form” because it is more extensive than the shorter 1040A and 1040EZ Tax Forms.

When you enter your data in TurboTax it will generate your 1040, prepare it for filing, and you can print it out after you file. For more information about 1040 see: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/5187060

You complete the federal tax return section of the TurboTax program.  The Form 1040 is the federal tax return.
