When will the Depreciation and Amortization section be done for a Schedule E? The website says it will be ready by February, but likely sooner. It is February 2!

We anticipate the depreciation calculations within the software should be updated after February 13, 2026. Our tech team is working hard to release the updates before that date.

Please be aware that this update will affect depreciation for Schedule E (Rental Properties) only. Schedule C (Self-Employment) was updated previously and should be working in all versions of TurboTax.

Ok ... so this highlights the value of the responses we get from TT on this board - or lack of value more appropriately ...

Same question asked by another user and the answer was "after 2/11/26".  This response is "after 2/13/26".

So basically TT has no idea when this will be ready and by saying "after dd/mm/yy" it gives them an open-ended delivery deadline ...

Every year TT seems to have one major SNAFU that brings everything to a hault.  I think we've found this year's candidate.

Thanks, hope this happens asap; I am waiting on TT to do this and otherwise ready to file.

Today is 2/17 and I still don't see it.  What is the status?

The latest update we received from the developers is that the work on the depreciation section of TurboTax is continuing and expected to be completed with an update coming the evening of Thursday, February 19th. Check TurboTax on Friday for the depreciation applications.

This has been an especially challenging season, due to late tax law and policy changes and losses in IRS staffing, which delayed getting all of the forms and instructions ready to deliver to software companies. IRS just issued guidance on additional first year depreciation in mid-January.

Also, you can sign up at this link to be notified via email. when the forms are ready to use in TurboTax.
