Note that you cannot file until January of 2025, regardless.
Sometimes mid-November, or before Thanksgiving, but it depends on how many tax law changes there are. The first version never has all the forms. The earliest version that can actually file a return is usually around January 7, but even then, the IRS doesn't open until about January 20, so if you file super-early, your return just sits in a data warehouse until the IRS is ready.
Is there an update on when the 2024 onlinbe version will be available? I want to do an estimate to see if I can afford a Roth conversion.
