when can I e-file W9s

I filed out W9s with TurboTax home and business and Turbo Tax say e-file will be available soon, what does that mean? is it broken or do I just have to wait until they fix it?

You mean the 1099NEC?  Turbo Tax doesn't fill out or file W9.

well, yes, they actually do if you have the right version.  If you purchase the home and business version of TurboTax you can create and file w2d and W9s from the Home Screen where you start and set up your return. Hope this help you understand the capabilities better.

That says W2s.  You said W9.  Different forms.  I have Home & Business too.  That's why I asked.  Did you mean the W3?

The W9 you fill out to give to a payer.  You don't file it with the IRS.

I'm sorry, you you are right, I meant 1099's.  You can create and file W2s and 1099s.  Yes, not w9s, they are for employees to fill out, I mean 1099's. Thank you for correcting me.  I was having a senior moment, and I'm  not even that old.

Just keep checking back to efile.  It is probably too early.  They are not due to the IRS until Jan 31.  You can still print out the copies to give to the individuals.

Thank you for that.  You are probably right, and I'll be patient, but you know, January 31st is just around the corner so I was concerned as it's not like them to wait until the last moment.  We shall have to wai and see if they fix this.  Perhaps it's just a tad too early- thank you again
