Deductible Home Mortgage Interest Wks: Your calculations could not be completed. we can't see your returns
I am seeing the same error message; however, mine reads:
Deductible Home Mortgage Interest Wks: Your calculations could not be completed. Reference code: 9-945-263.
Called into support, and the tech responding stated she did not know what this error was.
But why? I entered all the information straight from my 1098.
Mine is also the Deductible Home Mortgage Interest Wks.
I have filled out everything in the forms, every line, every detail as needed but i continue to get this error and I am afraid to move forward or submit.
Yup. Same here. I am trying signing out, and then back in to see if the same issue pops up.
Signing out, and then coming back in seems to have done the trick for me. Since I am sure I put in the mortgage stuff right, I am going to go with it! Good luck everyone!
OKAY... I figured it out for mine!!!
I was filling out the fields from my 1098 using the full numbers, Integers and decimals.
When I went back to the form and rounded to the nearest dollar (like they do with HRBlock forms) my Federal Review went through without issue.
EX. 2829.12 = 2829 or 1888.68 = 1889
Thank you very much. Signing out / back in worked for me too
I got this on 2/27, checked this forum, and saw that signing out & signing back in fixed the error. I did that and it worked!
There was a recent program update to cure this issue ... logging out seems to cure the disconnect. Also feel free to round numbers per the IRS rules at anytime ... the program ignores the pennies automatically.
It means when you entered you 1098 Mortgage statement you didn't finish the questions for the refinance section.
OMG. Mine reads the same. Covid, no water and now this. What else is gonna happen?!?
THANK YOU AND HUGS! BUT I'LL TRY IT TOMORROW. BRAIN DEAD NOW. HAD ENOUGH OF THE DAY.
I got the same message and it wouldn't let me continue. I went back to the mortgage worksheet and rounded my numbers to the next highest amount and deleted the decimals. It seemed to fix the problem.
I saw where someone answered that they took out the cents and entered round numbers only. I did the same and it works.
Signing off and signing back on eliminated the error code for me.
I was getting the same error when I was doing the final review. I did a little research and for some reason you can't enter cents in the 1098 form in TurboTax. Just round up/down the numbers in each column without using any cents. I went back to my 1098 form and cleared out the cents in each field and the error message went away.
