What do I mail in

I e-filed on turbo tax. What do I have to mail in for both federal and state? Where can I get that information?

If you efiled it is unlikely there is anything you need to mail in unless you receive a notification that there are additional forms required. Please check the status of your efile and track your refund using the links below:

Please keep in mind that once filed TurboTax has NO control over the IRS processing time.
You can continue to check the status of your efile here: <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/">https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/</a>
You should be able to check your actual refund status at the IRS website: - <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://www.irs.gov/refunds">https://www.irs.gov/refunds</a>.

I don't have a refund, I owe for both federal and state. I paid federal by CC right when filing, but I thought it mentioned somewhere in there that I also have to mail my return in? Do I have to do that even though my return was accepted?

When you print out your complete return a page should print with instructions on what needs to be mailed.

These steps below will help you print your complete return.

Make sure Adobe Reader is installed before proceeding, as you'll need it to print your return. Most computers already come with it, but if yours doesn't, you can download it for free.

Then:

  1. Sign in at https://myturbotax.intuit.com/ with the same login you used when you filed your return.
  2. Click Taxes near the top left corner of your screen, under the TurboTax logo.
  3. On the My Tax Timeline screen, in the Some things you can do section, click Download/print return (PDF).
  4. Your return will open in Adobe Reader. Click the "printer" icon to print your return.
