Age? There is no upper age limit (unfortunately).

When you  die.  Normally if you have income over your standard deduction you need to file a return.

Sadly there is no max age ...it is your income that dictates if you need to file.  My great aunt filed until she died at

105 1/2.

you have to file every year that your income exceeds the threshold for filing. this varies every year.
