W4 question

I’m a bit confused about how to proceed with our W-4 updates. The Estimator indicated that we aren’t withholding enough and need to adjust. My main question is: Do both of us need to submit updated W-4s to our respective jobs, or should only one of us submit?

Right now, one W-4 adds dollars to section 4C, while the other creates a negative value in section 3. If only one of us needs to submit, I assume I should submit the W-4 that adds to 4C, while my wife submits the one that updates section 3. Can you confirm if this is the correct approach?

Yes, you can both submit updated W-4 forms to your respective employers or you can only submit one.

You can also change your withholding on one or both of your W-4 forms throughout the year should your financial situation change (for example: you get a new job, add a dependent, start a side gig, etc.).
