W-2 with Nothing in Boxes 1 and 2

My husband got a W-2 from his employer that he retired from a year and a half ago.  It has nothing in boxes 1 and 2.  It has an amount of about $100 in Box 12a with Code E.  Because of that, TT says we can't e-file.  Is this W-2 important?  Can we delete it?  It is about deferred income.

see what happens when you delete it and try to e-file.

I know it will go through if I delete it.  The question is, should the W-2 remain in my return or is it unimportant and I can delete it?

No, that W-2 is not important.  It does not show income or taxes withheld so it does not affect your tax return in any way.  Yes, you can delete it.

You can delete that W-2 by selecting the trash can next to the W-2 or by clicking Tax Tools>>Tools>> Delete a form, then select delete next to that W-2.
