Version of TT

I already pay for an accountant and QBO with a small business.  I've never filed as the solo owner of an LLC.  I don't want to overpay for more software and almost all my data is collected already.  I have to add a W2, but that's mostly it.  Single, renter, no complicated tax or investments, no rental income ....

Would a standard TT work;  doesn't seem like buying a Business version makes sense since I already have paid.

To review versions of TurboTax that would be best for you, please see the link here which allows you to compare each version.

Depends if your Single Member LLC elected to be an S Corp.  then you need to file a separate Business return for it in addition to your personal return.

If you are not an S Corp you file it on Schedule C in your personal return.  You will need to use the Online Self Employed version or any Desktop program.   All the Desktop programs have the same forms. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.

Ask your accountant.

Thank you for that.  I am an LLC and my accountant was not able to give guidance.  I think I'll start with the basic return - I am hoping that QBO can be imported, which I'm sure it can.  We'll find out.  Thanks all ....

What are you going to use?  The Online web version or the Windows Desktop program or on Mac?  Do you have the QBSE QuickBooks Self Employed version?   The QuickBooks Self Employed version only imports to Turbo Tax Online Self Employed version.

The other QuickBooks data cannot be imported into TurboTax Online or TurboTax Desktop software for Mac.  This article only has Instructions for Windows Turbo Tax.

My accountant uses QBO online not the QBSE Self-Employed ....When I work on taxes, I prefer the desktop version and in the past used the Business (name escapes at moment) version.

Windows 11, so I very much appreciate that link and info.

The site is forcing me to use ONLINE filing, there is no download option.

I still need to know how to download the right software that will import QBO data for my business

You can select which version of Turbo Tax Desktop you want to purchase here to download the software. @richardminaya
