Validation Error - Cannot file

Received validation error and followed the instructions to the online tool to check for updates. Showed none.  Then downloaded a patch that didn't work either.  Please advise.

Hi,

I received the same error several times.  To fix the issue. Close the application and reopen it. Before selecting your return, click on Online and check for updates. The system updated and I was able to efile. To be clear, the system automatically performs an update before allowing the app to open, so I'm not sure why it needed to do another update. But it worked. Hope this helps.

P.S. the reason I'm sharing is because turbo tax has the audacity to charge me to provide tech support.

After spending over 1.5 hours with tech support, uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, updating the software, and using TTCleanStatesTools, I am still getting the FAILED_VALIDATION Error Code 54 when attempting to file my 1120S & 355S- MA. I can't print the taxes and mail them as Massachusetts requires you to e-file the 355S-MA.

Any help would be appreciated!

Some users report that disabling anti-virus software resolved their 'Failed Validation' issue.   Here's How to Turn Off Anti-Virus Programs.

Also, try filing your Federal and State returns separately.  Here's instructions for Filing Federal and State Returns Separately.
