VA State Tax Forms

Getting a message that Schedule INC, Statement of Withholding and Individual Income Tax Return is not available for the State of Virginia.  Is that true?

VA Form INC is available.  It is a state form that summarizes your W-2s and 1099s, if any.  It is a print-only form, and is kept for your own reference, not e-filed

If you are using the CD/Download version of TurboTax, please make sure you have downloaded any available updates.  To get updates in TurboTax:

  1. Click the Online button in the black toolbar at the top of your screen.
  2. Click Check for Updates.

The VA State Tax forms are still not ready to efile as of 3/9/2020! Very annoying!  They probably don't have the money to pay the refunds!  Yes, these forms have to be filed and not just for your reference only. Sch INC, VA760CG, Sch ADJ, Sch FED, VA Sch A.  I purchased the software to efile, not print them all out and mail in, which is not only not safe through the mail, but takes weeks longer to get your refund!  NOT AT ALL HAPPY THIS YEAR WITH TURBOTAX AND VA!

All of the Virginia forms are ready; it sounds like your software is not updated properly.  If you're on a PC, open TurboTax and select Check for Updates from the Online menu near the top. On a Mac, simply quit and reopen TurboTax. If there are any updates, you'll be prompted to download them.

Tips:

  • It's best to use a wired, high-speed connection when updating, both to save time and minimize data corruption.
  • If your connection drops in the middle of the update, try again; it should pick up where it left off.
  • If you're having trouble updating on your PC, try a manual update.
