US Return for Non-Resident Alien

Hello,

Can I use US TurboTax to file as non-resident alien, 1040NR?

Note: doesn't pass substantial presence test!

Form 8889 can be attached to your form 1040 NR.  You would need to ask Sprintax if they do support the form.  Because TurboTax does not support the 1040NR, you would not be able to file the form 8889 to file even though you need to use the form 8889.

No.

TurboTax cannot be used to file a nonresident tax return (form 1040 NR).

You can use our partner Sprintax.

but I also have HSA which require Form 8889 but as far as I know SprintTax doesn't support Form 8889.
