URGENT: Mail in option missing tax form

I chose the option to print and mail my turbotax return instead of e-filing. However, on the download page, it only downloads the federal return for me. My California one is missing. The live expert i spoke to on 55+ hours ago told me before 48 hrs Turbotax should be fixed and have all forms ready for me to mail. This turned out to be not the case.

Taxes are due in 6 days. Please help get us our returns!

You can try these steps to resolve if you are using the online version. I'm wondering if something is stuck that is not connecting the California return.

  • Clearing your Cache and Cookies
  • Using a different browser
  • Opening an Incognito Window

My california return is 0 dollars and in fact i am expecting a refund. Is this why i don't have a california refund and I don't need to mail in anything? I don't believe so but please confirm.

If you are using a paid product, have you paid yet for the state return?  Or are you using Free Edition?  If you are in a paid product, you can't view/print/download the state return unless the state product fee has been paid.

Try this alternative to get various PDFs from the Print Center inside the return interview.  If you haven't paid yet, it will ask you to as you go through the steps.  If TurboTax thinks you were finished, it may have closed your interview, so you may have to open the unfiled return interview back up per these steps.

  • Log in and if you can't get back to the return interview and it's closed, then at the Tax Home look for a link "Add a State."  (you don't really add one.  That's just to open your return back up.)
  • After the return interview is open, click in the left menu column on TAX TOOLS, then subtab Print Center.
  • Then choose "Print, save, view this year's return."
  • A subsequent screen should offer some options:  "Just my tax returns", or "include government worksheets (optional)", or "include government and TurboTax worksheets (optional.)"

NOTE:  Remember all PDF tax documents and tax data files are very sensitive files, since they contain your personal ID info, financial data, and possibly bank account numbers, etc.  Be sure to store them safely and securely to guard against computer theft, hacking, etc.
