I could recommend call the 800# and see if they could direct you to finding an answer That # is [phone number removed] Otherwise unless someone with more knowledge than me Checking with a CPA for tax accounting advise may be the best way

Yes, you can file jointly with your wife as a resident.

You have completed five calendar years in F1 and you are a resident if you pass the substantial presence test for 2021.

You are not considered as a dependent for tax purposes even if you are on CPT and have no income
