Turbotax Premier (CD version) is very slow!!!!

Turbotax Premier CD version (fully updated) is much slower this year. Dropdown menus take a noticeable time to populate, and new fields are slowly created as if I was using an online form (my internet is very slow). In previous years, Turbotax was relatively snappy. Also, whenever I quit the program, I cannot restart it until I reboot. I'm getting an error that Turbotax is already running, which I've never seen before.  This year's edition is a big step down from the past 30+ years.  Is anyone else having to reboot constantly?

Yes I had the same experience with the CD rom.   I end up going back online and downloaded the online version and used my  access code from the CD that I had purchased from Staples.

I installed it off the CD, but not running from the CD, and it's fully updated. It acts as if I'm using an online application.    Even deletions are slow.    If I hit my backspace seven times, there's a 3-5 second lag, and then I can see those seven numbers slowly deleted, one by one.  Is this now just a template for an online program?  Also, if I click on EXIT, and then restart, I get an error message every time that Turbotax is still running.

Please follow the instructions here to manually update the software. This can often resolve this type of issue @Den24601
