Did turbo tax just charged me 647 dollars after amendment of my taxes? They didn’t let me know every time I go into my app to check and press download or something or using the app in general gets charged fees ! I chose basic and when i called a few times to make sure everything was looking good they decided on their own to upgrade and charge extra.
There is no fee to amend unless the change you make requires an upgrade to a higher paid version of the software, such as from Free Edition to Deluxe or Premium. Did you also upgrade to a version of "Live Assist" or "Full Service"--- or is the extra amount you are seeing really the additional tax you owe from adding more income when you amended? We cannot see your tax return or any of your account information. It seems highly unlikely that seeking help for amending would result in over $600 of fees.
No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”
