TurboTax Deluxe 2017 cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure TurboTax Deluxe works with this version of OS X."

Have OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, Firefox Quantum, Safari 10.1.2. Downloaded TurboTax 2017 twice, same result, cannot be opened.

The answer (see below) does not solve my error message from TurboTax (see above) since I was not able to connect with TurboTax Technical Support numerous times.  There are too many robot answering machines that I don't understand since it got disconnected so quickly before I answer the phone with TurboTax support.  The Intuit website has no email address where I can send my comments to TurboTax Technical Support about the error message.  I was not able to upgrade my computer operating system (OS X) at this time so I would like my money back for downloading this software and I will switch to other tax software.  I am really disappointed that I have been loyal to TurboTax for many years with no problems.  Now I am not happy with the Intuit company since they hang up on me numerous times.  Please send me a link where I can ask for a refund on this downloaded software.  Thanks!  :(

Hey, I too recently purchased the turbotax 2016 software and when I try to open the application it bounces and then tells me I have to download developer tools- it does not function with my version 10.12.6 Mac os Sierra- Please help us find a solution.

The TurboTax 2017 desktop editions require use of Mac OS X v10.11 or later (64-bit required)

If you are not going to upgrade your OS then you can get a refund of the software purchase by contacting TurboTax support.
