I transferred a cryptocurrency from my US-based account to an account with a foreign-based exchange that I hold. As a result, my current filing says that I have tax obligations to pay. How do I resolve this as I did not sell the asset, I simply transferred it to another account outside of the US? Furthermore, do I have to submit the details for this foreign-based exchange?
