Too many steps to input 1099 DIVs

I have approximately 100 1099DIVs to enter. If I can't input them from a spreadsheet (another question I recently posted), I will have to put them all in individually. Many are repeats from last year and I can update them, which is great. But it takes WAY too many steps. This can't be right--what am I missing? Here are the steps I take:

  Screen............................................................Action

1 Let's get information from 1099................fill  in updated information, hit continue

2 Uncommon situations.................................Answer "no", hit continue

3 Uncommon situations................................. Wait for the "please Wait" messages to stop, then continue again

4 Lets finish pulling... ..................................... Scroll to the next 1099 needing update and select, continue

5 Lets enter your brokerage.......................... Skip Import

6 Okay, lets start with one investment type..Dividends, continue

and now we are to step 1 for the next 1099.

Step 3 serves no purpose that I can see

Why can't step 4 just take you to the next 1099 needing updating, without scrolling through all the divs not needing updating?

Why steps 5 and 6 every time?

With so many to do and the slow response from TT with each "continue", this is a pain.

I know!  I don't like the new way at all.  Too many clicks and screens to click on and go through.   Go to the bottom and +Add Investments, then import or skip import, THEN....should be a screen with 5 boxes, pick Interest, Dividends, Stocks Bonds Mutual Funds, Cryptocurrency, or Other

It might be better entering them directly on the form using Forms Mode?

The other step I finally figured out is if I already had that investment last year, I cannot just edit the information. I have to totally delete the company and re-add it as a new investment. Along with it's FEIN number... This is a pain compared to previous years.
