What is the nature of your IRS form 1099-B entry?

Was the entry manually entered?  Was the entry uploaded from a bank or financial institution?  Was the entry uploaded from a .TXF or .CSV file?

Are you using TurboTax Desktop or TurboTax Online.  Please clarify.

To edit a single IRS form 1099-B entry in TurboTax Online, follow these steps:

  1. Down the left side of the screen, click Federal.
  2. Down the left side of the screen, click Wages & Income.
  3. Click the down arrow to the right of Investments and Savings.
  4. Click to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B).
  5. Click the down arrow to the right of the investment.
  6. Click Edit to view the transactions.

Manual, as uploads as its own problem. After you manually enter, you basically are stuck if you want to delete or change anything in this particular form.

In TurboTax Online in Windows, I am able to edit, correct or delete a manually entered IRS form 1099-B using the steps outlined above.

At the screen Review your sales, click the pencil to the right of the transaction.

Or click the box to the left of the transaction and the Bulk Edit function appears.

Is this not available?

I'm on MacOS version of TurboTax and bulk edit window opens, but only the first field is visible and can be edited.

That is I can only change the type of asset.  In fact this field is partially fading out like I should be able to scroll down to edit other fields, but it doesn't scroll.

I've had this happen on every tax related bulk edit.   So far I've only been able to delete the entry and pray I get re-enter everything perfect on the next try.

Unfortunately I have 20 of these to manually enter.  Like the OP, every automated download has failed on most of my institutions this year including WellsFargo and Etrade/Morgan Staley, and Acorns.  Only Fidelity worked and it had an error too in one field.

Found a work-around... I have to use tab and shift-tab to move to different fields.

Enter, scrolling, and arrow-keys DO NOT WORK.
