Tax Return

Hi, can anyone tell me if this looks right? Not sure why I’m getting basically the same amount. 😕

As already noted, you had more income in 2024, but you also paid in more taxes in 2024, so you ended up with nearly the same refund as you did for 2023.

In TurboTax Online, you can preview your return before filing to find out how your taxes were calculated. See here for details.

Taxes are often calculated using a different method than the tax tables. For example, if you have capital gains, the tax on those is calculated at the capital gain rate for your income level. If you are self-employed, you may have self-employment taxes in addition to income taxes.

Without seeing the full picture, it's hard to tell whether these numbers are correct. Based on the screenshot, it looks like you had $0 tax liability in 2023 while your 2024 liability is $2,180. Your payments in 2024 increased the same amount as your tax liability increased.
