System error! Cannot enter W2

I purchased the 2021 Deluxe online version for Mac. I am able to enter everything fine until I get to Personal Income. When I click on update under Wages and Salaries, I immediately get an error code: "or Building Screen: /interview/federal". The pop-up states "Hmmm, looks like we've hit a snag. We recommend you revisit the last topic you were working on to make sure all your info's correct." Same thing happens when I click on "add w2" under Import Summary. I do not have any business deductions so the last topic was my Personal Info and there are no mistakes or missed entries. Please help. Thank you

I think I have created this error... I downloaded the home business software on my MacBook for me, then downloaded the deluxe so I can do my son's taxes. I don't think TurboTax will allow me to have two different downloads for the same year on one computer. Would you happen to know? I'm not trying to do taxes for two people on one... it is two different downloads. Thank you!

Maybe.  But you didn't need to buy or install another version.   All the Desktop programs have the same forms. You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.  And the Desktop program can do unlimited returns and efile 5.

They were both online versions. I'll be sure to get the desktop version next year!

No you are confused.  You bought and installed the Desktop programs either by downloading it or by using the CD.  They are the same thing.  Home & Business is only in the Desktop program.

The Online version means using Turbo Tax on the website each time by logging into an account.  The online version has a black vertical bar on the left side with the menu items.  Your Desktop programs had the menu tabs going a cross the top like Personal, Federal, state, review, file.
