Surely this is wrong

I know it's right before the filing deadline. But I was preparing my personal return with Turbo Tax H&B 2023 and note the below in the input stream for an HSA. I tried what is instructed, and it's not right.

It's right.

 

If you inherit an HSA account (from anyone OTHER than a spouse) it is an inherited HSA and has special tax treatment. 

If you inherit an HSA from your spouse, it is as if it was your HSA since forever, and it is NOT treated as inherited. 

 

Confusing yes, but correct.
