Stuck with CASDI-E validation

I completed my tax form and trying to E-file them.

The validation step says that my CASDI-E, which is 1229.11 in my W-2 form, is incorrect. Turbotax says it must be 1229.09 or less.

I'm in a loop since this is an amount from W-2 and Turbotax keeps saying that this is the incorrect amount, so I can't e-fIle my taxes.

What should I do?

W2 box 14 value: CASDI-E 1229.11

Turbotax error I cant bypass: You entered California SDI and/or VPDI greater than 1229.09. Since the maximum withholding for 2020 is 1229.09, you may have entered the incorrect code on an entry in box 14.

I believe CASDI-E stands for CA SDI tax, please advise if I messed up here.

+ I paid 25$ to file the state taxes electronically on one of the last steps and can't do that as well

There is a CA form to get a refund of the excess and you cannot e-file with it.

However, for $1.02 it is hardly worth the effort to claim an excess and and mail file.  Just edit the W-2 and change it to $1228.  It will make no difference on your tax return.

Yep, I actually made a typo last night, so it is 2 cents difference that stops me to file electronically 😓

I can potentially try to find a better code for it, not sure which one though..

Just reduce the amount of the CASDI by a $1.00.  It makes no difference.

Unless you itemize and use the CASDI as a deductible state tax it makes no difference of the CASDI is there or not.  If you do not itemize then you can omit the CASDI altogether.

I get the same error even if i reduce the value to 1228.00.

stuck in an infinite loop and cannot file.
