I don't know what the "suggested steps" are. Did you try using the manual update?
Tried the manual update, did not work. Tried running as Administrator, which is always the case, did not work. Tried unplugging and then restarting computer, did not work. Chatted with Microsoft who say it is a program problem with Turbo Tax. Cannot access TT without the update, why? Cannot update as long as Error 1603 exists. Anyone have the real solution?
For me, the manual update worked, so don't have any other possible solution.
