Software issues?

I cannot get the Massachusetts state forms that I'm told will 'soon' be available. This has gone on for at least several weeks. So I tried to go ahead and file just the Federal. I'm all set and then told IT needs an update! Funny thing is NO UPDATES ARE AVAILASBLE!

Are you using an online version or desktop?

  • If you are using the TurboTax CD/Download software program, open the program, from the top, under Online, select Check for Updates.
  • If you are using the online version, it's an automatic update when you sign in and out.

This is a desktop version that was downloaded (no CD).

Okay.  So you would use the first option:  Open the program, from the top, under "Online", select "Check for Updates".

It was partially successful. I did get a download/update. But when trying to e-file, it once again said I needed an update and none was available. I was told I had the latest version available.

On a second attempt -different browser - I was successful in obtaining a download. But there was no application file within to install.
