SOCIAL SECURITY INCOME

Hi, this is the first year that we file our taxes with my husbands Social Security income.  However, when we did our taxes with turbo tax, we forgot to add his social security income.  Could this be the reason, our refund is being held? Our refund is being held due to additional review of our taxes.  Could it be that we forgot to add it?  Please advise  thanks

Only the IRS can tell you the status of your return. Wait to hear from them. They might adjust your return.

Omitting social security income is definitely a reason your refund would be delayed.  Do not file an amended return at this point. The IRS may correct the error without it and adjust your refund or balance due accordingly.
